What path brought you to this business?

After working for a couple of major corporations over many years, I wanted to be part of a smaller organization where I could see the difference my contribution was making.

What is your title and a few of your responsibilities at Corporate Recognition?

As a Customer Service Specialist, I will be maintaining various customer clothing webstores, conducting research for customer products, providing sales support as well as providing general office support.

What are you known for professionally? What do you have a knack for?

Being well-organized as well as a tenacity to get a job done, no matter the obstacles. Hopefully these things shine through as I find my way on my new journey here with the Corporate Recognition team.

What are you most passionate about professionally? What most excites you about your work & the contribution you can make?

Customer satisfaction. How many times have any of us been ignored or discounted under the guise of Customer Service? It takes so little to show respect to your customers by simply listening to their needs and helping them accomplish what they came to you for in the first place.

What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can’t you stop talking about?

The relationships I have cultivated and have had for many years. Simply spending time with those whom I have a sustained connection with and who bring me joy.

Where can we find you when you’re not working? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?

You can usually find me at home puttering around the old farm house, tending to gardens or checking in on the horses. Any amount of time I can share with my family, grandsons and friends, while trying out new recipes on them, is time well spent.

What is your favorite Hobby?

Golfing with friends, followed by a wonderful meal and fine wine while we share the stories behind our ridiculous scores.

Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now?

I grew up in the Mounds View area of Minnesota. I went to school and spent many years working there as well before my husband got a great job opportunity back in Owatonna, where he grew up. This city gal now lives in the country with a couple of horses enjoying all the hard work that this life entails… I think.

Any volunteer activities you’re crazy about and/or nonprofits you love, & why?

We volunteer for Wishes & More. We have been there from the inception of the organization and are so proud to be with a Wish Granting organization that goes above and beyond.

What would be impossible for you to give up?

Adventures with my Gal Pals!

What is your favorite color, favorite food, and favorite time of year?

Yellow. Post-Thanksgiving turkey sandwich. Fall.

Who is your favorite singer or band and why?

Being the proud owner of my Grandmother’s 78 “records,” my mother’s “45’s” my own collection of old Beatles albums, Moody Blues cassette tapes, and on to Adele CD’s, I have a very eclectic mix of music favorites. Thus I am a huge fan of Sirius radio so I can pick any genre of music that suits me at the time.

What is your favorite Movie or Movie Character?

Singing in the Rain. You can’t beat a fun, old fashioned musical to lift your spirits.

What is your motto or a code you live by?

Be true to yourself and do not let anyone convince you to be otherwise.

How do you want to be remembered?

Someone that you could count on.
