What are your plans this weekend?  Do you have a “nice little Saturday” planned? (Shout out to Old School – Will Ferrell) Maybe you’re hanging out with some friends or your kids have a game.  Whatever you’re doing, it’s probably focused on building and nurturing a relationship.  Did you know promotional products do just that?  Have you wondered why promo products would be crucial for your business?  I have the answer!  It’s all about building and nurturing the relationships you have between employees, customers, and the community.  They help you be nice to people, show you care and recognize hard work.

Is it difficult to keep employees?  Why is that?  Do you show your appreciation for their daily grind?  With promotional products, you can keep employees longer.  People like gifts!  Do you remember the last time you started a new job?  You probably had to buy some new clothes in order to adhere to the new dress code.  Give new employees a new shirt (or a few) with your logo when they start.  It eases the financial burden they go through having to buy new clothes and shows you care.  Do your employees all have smart phones?  More than likely!  Give them all power banks with charging cords.  Give them awards of recognition for hitting sales targets or maintaining a safe environment for 90 days.  You’ll keep employees longer by making them happy and making them feel worthwhile.

How do you show your customers you care about the business they bring you?  Do you even send thank you cards or emails after an order is placed?  These things can be easily forgotten.  You can send your customers some chocolate molded with your logo and a coupon on the wrapper.  Own a restaurant or manage a bank?  People like nice pens!  Get pens that write nicely with good ink.  Imprint them with “We have the BEST pens! Take one!” and your logo.  This is a very small thing, but you’ll stand out.  Do you have some repeat customers that give you a lot referral business, or put a lot of trust in you and ALWAYS think of YOU for your service?  Give them a nice gift of appreciation once a year, twice a year or quarterly.  Do you sell houses?  I recently came a cross a beautiful glass cutting board that comes with a nice stand and you can imprint in full color.  Your customers and their trust in you is the reason for your success, so show them your appreciation.  Promotional products is an industry built on being nice to people and nurturing relationships.

Have a great weekend everybody :)
