Going through our box of memories I stumbled upon this list of compliments Pam received from a BNI meeting she attended when Corporate Recognition was still a young company.  She said they had to fill out the top part and then pass the sheet around.  There are 26 compliments on this sheet.  It takes up the front page and half of the back.  I think this is a great way to keep you motivated.  When your company is really young and you’re just starting out, it can feel daunting.  You can hit a point where you think you’re in over your head.  Did I make the right decision trying to take this on?  Am I cut out to be a business owner?  Am I even doing this right?  Do I even know what I’m doing?  So many doubts and questions run through your head and it can feel easier to give up, rather than persevere.  Having a note like this to look at regularly is a reminder for why you decided to start a business.  This can motivate you to reach out to a new customer and prospect for a new lead.  You have hand written proof telling you you’re liked and recommended.  When I write emails or connect with new prospects I tell them of a similar company we also work with.  It makes them feel confident to do business with us and they know our company is proud of the long lasting relationships we have built with our customers.  I suggest to do something like this at your next networking meeting.  Keep it on your office fridge so you can reflect on it once in a while.
